Eight Hours in a Chair Does Measurable Damage. This Undoes Some of It.
Chair yoga and desk-friendly forms for people whose work is sedentary and whose stress is constant. Built around posture, shoulder stiffness, shallow breathing and burnout, and designed to fit a working day rather than compete with it.

The problem
What a Desk Job Quietly Does
Neck and shoulders
A screen slightly too low, held for years, becomes chronic stiffness and headaches.
Hips and lower back
Sitting shortens the hip flexors, which tilts the pelvis, which is felt as back pain.
Shallow breathing
Hunched sitting restricts the diaphragm. Less oxygen, more fatigue, and you never notice it happening.
A system never at rest
Deadlines keep the stress response permanently half-on. Sleep and digestion suffer first.
The approach
Practical Enough That You Will Actually Do It
The best corrective practice is worthless if it requires forty minutes and a change of clothes on a Tuesday afternoon. This class is built around that constraint.
- Chair-based sequences you can do at your desk without drawing attention
- Short breathing practices that reset the system between meetings
- Targeted work for the neck, shoulders and hips, the three that suffer most
- Longer full sessions for when you do have the space
For organisations
Running This For a Team
Akhilraj has delivered programmes at HLL Lifecare Ltd, Gokulam Medical College, ISRO Valiyamala and Calicut University, as well as for IT companies and Malayali communities in the Gulf.
If you are arranging something for a team, message us with headcount, whether people are in one office or spread out, and what you are hoping it solves. We will come back with a format rather than a brochure.
Content still needed:
Executive Yoga details still pending from Akhil: session duration, whether it runs individually or as a group, and anything that distinguishes it from therapeutic yoga.
Questions
Executive Yoga FAQ
Do I need to change clothes or leave my desk?
For the chair-based work, no. That is the point of it. A full session is better done with space and a mat, but the desk-friendly forms are designed for an ordinary working day.
Can this be run for our whole team?
Yes. Akhilraj has run programmes for IT companies and at ISRO Valiyamala, HLL Lifecare and Gokulam Medical College. Message us with your team size and what you are trying to solve.
I travel constantly. Is that workable?
Sessions are live and online, so a hotel room works as well as home. Time zones are the harder part; tell us where you usually are.
Is this just stretching between meetings?
No. It addresses the specific damage desk work does: shoulder and neck loading, hip flexors that have shortened, shallow breathing, and a nervous system that never fully comes down.
Try It On a Working Day
Book a free session at a time you would normally be at your desk. That is the only real test of whether it fits.
